About the work: 

Feelings are fleeting. Florescent, phosphorescent, yet ever redirecting. This piece brings to mind famous poet Rainer Maria Rilke's aphorism: 'No feeling is final.' 

It soothes me and warms my cold body to know that no matter where I am, what journey I am navigating; what storm has me nearly drowning: things are going to get easier. 

Showcasing a change in composition from light to dark, with a dispersed palette of light and dark throughout and a dripping bridge between the two, this piece embraces not knowing. It says, "Actually, if we are honest, not knowing is our home... And I can hold on until the morning."

Before a glimmer of understanding greets my psyche with the morning light, this is the holding on throughout the night.
