About the work: 

Peak experience--in the embodiment of a work of art & the feeling it brings-- is about integrating elements of transcendence and higher states of consciousness into your daily life.

This is the soul, thesis and essence of my work at Olivia by Design. 

It's about walking into the living room of your home to grab your current read from atop the cedar wood coffee table and pausing, mid-reach, just for a moment. You might follow through and grasp the book between both your hands. But you don't walk back outside to the daybed... you are pulled instead in a different direction by a peripheral glimmer of buoyant turquoise and florescent hues of a gripping kind of pink... 

Distracted from the mental chatter in your minds eye, glimpses of this painting will catch your view and immediately catapult you into a deeper experience of the present moment-- into the active unfoldment of the experience of being alive and being a human in this world. 

You look away, and take a step towards the patio with your book in hand--but now,  a renewed sense of excitement, of life-force energy, of gratitude for what is accompanies you. You are in the perfect mental space to begin or continue, whore-heartedly and ready.

For me, integrating triggers for transcendence such as artwork by Olivia by Design, and this piece in particular, into the fabric of your everyday life, is choosing to design a life on the upward spiral. It's making the choice to put opportunities for greater wakefulness right in front of you.
